Peckham Area Guide
Peckham, SE15 – an eclectic mix of people, businesses and property.
One of our favourite things about Peckham is the variety. No two roads and no two days are ever the same. Whether it be the varied shops and amenities on the hustle and bustle of Rye Lane to the varied parks and gardens dotted around. The variety of food – from our traditional Manze’s Pie and Mash shop or Ayre’s Bakery to the exciting newcomers and trendy bistros such as Voodoo Rays, Pedler and The Coal Rooms means there is something for everyone. The variety of music we hear when the bars are in full swing or from cars as they pass us by – or from the buskers and aspiring artists working on their new material !
And the variety certainly extends to its property. From the stunning Victorian family homes full of charm and character – to the large number of modern apartments built around the excellent transport links at Queens Road, Peckham, Rye Lane, Nunhead and New Cross Gate. Each property has its own story to tell, its own history and we at Pedder would love to help you market your unique property and assist with finding the best possible buyer at the best possible price.
The educational establishments across SE15 and SE14 are fantastic. From outstanding primary schools to specialist nurseries all the way up to the industry-leading Art College on Peckham Road to the impressive Goldsmiths University in New Cross.
The gentrification of Peckham and Nunhead was already well underway when the East London Line Extension saw us connected to the underground map for the first time in 2012 – and the acceleration since the improved transport links has been unprecedented. Connecting SE15 to Clapham in the South-West and up through trendy Shoreditch in the East on onto Dalston and Higbury in the North.
Our schools are great, our transport is great, our food is great, our PEOPLE are great. And now, Pedder are lucky to be right at the heart of it.
