Herne Hill Free Film Festival announces its 2025 festival programme with free screenings of 11 feature fi lms, three short fi lm nights, a fi lm quiz, and the much-loved 48 Hour Film Challenge.In its 12th year, the festival will run from 30 April to 23 May, screening at landmark locations across Herne Hill, from the historic Velodrome to Brockwell Lido.
Herne Hill Free Film Festival was established to bring film to all corners of the local community, to make cinema accessible to everyone and to introduce people to films they might not otherwise be aware of. Since the fi rst festival in 2013, HHFFF has screened 168 feature-length fi lms and 125 short fi lms to over 20,000 local residents.
